Technical Specifications: High-Performance Carbon Fiber Frame

1. Frame & Construction

  • Material: High-Modulus, High-Strength Unidirectional Carbon Fiber (e.g., Toray T700, T800, T1000 series or equivalent).

  • Construction Method: Advanced Monocoque Frame Construction for main triangle; some models use Modular Construction with optimized carbon lay-up for specific parts (e.g., chainstays, seatstays).

  • Layup Process: Precision Computer-Aided Layup (Hand-Laid) or Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) for consistent fiber orientation and resin distribution. Internal mandrel molding for a smooth internal surface and optimized compaction.

  • Resin System: High-performance Toughened Epoxy Resin System for superior impact resistance and fatigue strength.

2. Frame Geometry (Sample - Road Race)

  • Available Sizes: 47cm, 50cm, 52cm, 54cm (cm), 56cm, 58cm, 61cm

  • Geometry Options: Available in Race (Aggressive)Endurance (Sportive), and Semi-Compact geometry profiles to suit different riding disciplines.

3. Key Measurements & Angles (for a 54cm Race Geometry Frame)

MeasurementValue
Seat Tube Length (C-T)540 mm
Top Tube Length (Effective)550 mm
Head Tube Angle73.5°
Seat Tube Angle73.5°
Chainstay Length405 mm
Bottom Bracket Drop68 mm
Fork Rake / Offset45 mm
Trail58 mm
Wheelbase985 mm
Head Tube Length150 mm
Standover Height780 mm

4. Component Compatibility & Standards

  • Bottom Bracket: PressFit BB86.5 (41mm diameter) or T47 Threaded. Other standards available (BB30, PF30, BSA).

  • Headset: Tapered Integrated 1-1/8" to 1-1/2" (Upper: 1-1/8”, Lower: 1-1/2”). Zero-stack style (ZS/EC).

  • Front Derailleur: Braze-On mount.

  • Seatpost: Aero-profile Integrated Seatpost Clamp or Round 27.2mm / 31.6mm standard.

  • Seatpost Diameter: 27.2mm or 31.6mm (specified by model).

  • Brake Compatibility: Dual-Pivot Caliper Brakes (Direct Mount or Standard) or Flat-Mount Disc Brakes.

  • Disc Brake Mount: Flat-Mount Standard (International Standard).

  • Axle Standards: Thru-Axle (Front: 12x100mm, Rear: 12x142mm). QR options available.

  • Cable Routing: Full Internal Cable Routing with integrated guides and ports for mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Accessory Mounts: Integrated mounts for fenders and rear pannier racks (on specific adventure/gravel models).

5. Weight & Performance

  • Frame Weight (Unpainted, Size 54cm): Approx. 850g - 950g (for a high-end road frame, including hardware). Disc brake frames typically 100g-150g heavier.

  • Fork Weight (Unpainted): Approx. 365g - 390g (including uncut steerer tube).

  • Rigidity-to-Weight Ratio: Optimized for high Stiffness-to-Weight Ratio (>100 Nm/° at bottom bracket). Torsional Stiffness: >90 Nm/° at head tube.

  • Aerodynamics: Kammtail Virtual Foil (KVF) tube shaping on down tube, seat tube, and seatstays to reduce aerodynamic drag without compromising compliance or weight.

6. Finish & Quality Assurance

  • Surface Finish: High-Pressure Molded (HPM) surface for a smooth, pinhole-free finish before painting.

  • Paint & Decals: Customizable paint schemes and decals. UV-resistant, high-gloss, or matte finishes available. Weight: ~60-100g.

  • Quality Control: 100% Frame Dimensional Inspection and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for detecting internal voids or delamination.

  • Safety Standards: Certified to and exceeds international safety and testing standards: ISO 4210, EN 14764, EN 14766, CPSC.

7. Customization & OEM/ODM Options

  • Custom Layup: Ability to customize carbon layup schedules to achieve specific ride qualities (e.g., more compliant, more aggressive stiffness).

  • Modular Design: Offer framesets as Frameset Only (Frame, Fork, Seatpost, Headset) or complete OEM Bicycle Builds.

  • Private Label: Full ODM/OEM support from engineering and prototyping to final production and packaging.
